The Art Outside Project is an interactive, community-driven initiative created by  artist Casey Braam, who is based out of Terrace, British Columbia. Designed as a real-world treasure hunt, Braam hikes into local wild spaces, trails, and parks to paint and sketch original artwork on-location (en plein air). While working, he utilizes his social media platforms—sharing real-time clues, photos, and videos via Casey Braam's Instagram and Casey Braam's Facebook Page—to drop hints regarding his precise location. Local community members are invited to track him down outside; the very first person to find him and say "I found you" wins the completed piece of art completely free of charge, occasionally alongside bonus prize packages donated by other local businesses.

The core mission behind the project extends far beyond giving away free original artwork. As highlighted during Casey's appearance on The Silvercore Podcast Episode 189, the game serves as a profound motivator to get people off their digital screens, break them out of "autopilot" mode, and encourage them to actively engage with and observe the natural environment. By introducing a competitive yet lighthearted game the project teaches participants to visually assess and deeply appreciate the local geography. Even for those who do not win the race to the finish line, Casey invites the public to simply hike out, have a chat, connect with nature, and observe his creative process firsthand in a shared community experience.
